Friday Night Lemon Calmer

Well let me just bypass all the boring details on how this was the longest week of my life working well over-time than usual and i decided that only a nice fun drink would put me right at ease when I got home tonight. Margaritas are one of my favorite summer drinks but sometimes it can be a little too sweet but I had just the cocktail in mind that was perfect for a beautiful spring evening.

Well this little number is one that I came across some time ago when my father introduced me to SanPellegrino and I was just thrown at the refreshing taste with little to no calaries. The drink I decided to make included the SanPellegrino Limonata which in essence is a lemon soda but with a bold fresh lemon taste, almost one to resemble a natural sour soda mix. Using the Limonata as my main mixer, this cocktail was not overpowering with sugar but had the right blend of tang and sweetness just as fresh lemoade does. I even threw a little salt on top to take me right into summertime.

It was just perfect and exactly what I needed to relax and enjoy my laid back Friday night!

1/2 cup SanPellegrino Limonata
2 Tbs. fresh lime juice

Fill a highball or a wine glass almost full with ice cubes. Pour rum, limonata and lime juice over the ice and stir well. Garnish with a Lemon Wedge, and serve.
Enjoy!
