My Pinterest Addiction {and how to add a Pin It button to ALL your posts}

Follow Me on Pinterest

I’m honestly not sure what I ever did before Pinterest!

Morning, noon and night I am on my computer or iPhone repining, liking and commenting on god knows what for my next kitchen project, future home, wedding ideas and of course how to entertain for the holidays. Pinterest is an addiction that so many can relate to but not enough people are hooked on yet.

There are so many ideas that have been right in front of me, at my fingertips and I never thoughts of it. There are too many recipes, crafts, DIY projects and don’t get me started on all these fashion styles and outfits that I can put together  due to insanely cute high heels and color schemes that I would have never thought of.

And in an effort to try not and brag {because I do have some great boards} take a peek:

Pinterest is going wild and everyone I know, family, friends and Facebook-ers alike are catching on and getting in on all the fun. Your pin boards allow you to share your favorite recipes, websites, home décor, vacation spots, fashion style and more. And it's all in one spot to share with everyone instead of the pre-pinterest way of saving your ideas by bookmarking or as I would do, write everything on index cards and file them into books and files to go back to one day!
So besides the absolute cool factor, why is Pinterest so wonderful? I can pin and revisit my boards for recipes, healthy living, entertaining ideas, event planningholiday ideas, further wedding bell bliss + so much more, and it's all in one place!

Ahhh! So simple.
As a blogger, Pinterest is a valuable tool and is quickly becoming my #1 source of traffic, more than Facebook and Twitter combined. Plus its just so much fun to browse and pin through so many DIY crafts, recipes and anything else you can think of.
New to Pinterest? Here’s a great post over at Blogging with Amy called The Ultimate List of Pinterest Tips that highlights some of the do's and don'ts of Pinterest.
Want to join the fun? You need an invitation to join. So you can either head on over to Pinterest and “Request an Invite” or shoot me an email via my contact info with your email address and I’ll send you one so you can join ASAP!
Come follow my boards at http://pinterest.com/healthyjalapeno/. Be sure to share your Pinterest URL so we can all follow along and link {or pin} up!
It is your own fault if you become addicted but between you and me, its soooooooo worth it!

How to Add a Pinterest Button to All Blog Posts

Want to know how to add a PIN IT button onto your posts without having to add the html to each and every post??? I wanted to add a Pin It button {like every other website out there for easy and convenient pinning} on all of my posts to make them easier for myself, and others, to Pin to their boards and share. All of the tips and tutorials I found involved having to add the html code entered at the bottom of every post which is not only time consuming but a royal pain. I finally found an amazing website where Julie Ann Art walked through the quickest html tutorial and I wanted to share how I did it because Pinterest is a wonderful tool that I use every day to share and bring new readers into my blog as well as stalk and find great new ideas.
1. Copy this code:
<div style="float: right; margin: 4px;"><a href="javascript:void((function(){var%20e=document.createElement('script');e.setAttribute('type','text/javascript');e.setAttribute('charset','UTF-8');e.setAttribute('src','http://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinmarklet.js?r='+Math.random()*99999999);document.body.appendChild(e)})());"><img alt="Pin It" class="aligncenter" src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v419/green_tea/pin.jpg" /></a></div>

2. Once you've logged into your Blogger Account, go to the Design tab and select Edit Html. Be sure to check the "Expand Widget Templates" box.

3. Look for <div class='post-header'> and paste the code directly after that.

4. Save your Template and you should be good to go!

*Note: This coding makes the Pin It button appear on the top right side of your posts. If you want the button on the bottom right side of your posts, look for <div class='post-footer'>.

Adding a button to your blog is a great way to help readers keep track of their favorite posts from your blog! They can easily find, or be reminded of, DIY tutorials they want to try or products they want to add to their wishlist! Give this Pin It button tutorial a try!

Enjoy and and ill see you on the pin-side!
